Higher Ground
Higher Ground is a real life roleplay based off of a t.v. of the same name. It's set in Mt. Horizon, high in the mountains of the Northwestern United States. Mt. Horizon High School is a sanctuary for troubled teens, struggling with things like drugs, eating disorders, abuse, neglect, gang violence, sometimes you'll even run into a student who has tried to commit suicide. What makes this place so great is that it's a safe place for these children to go. Sometimes it's their only option beside military school, or juvie. Here is a place where they can be safe, that they can call home.
What sets Mt. Horizon High apart from other high schools is not only the fact that it's set up somewhat like a camp, but also their are member groups, which students are placed in after their arrival. They do quests with their groups, which can be mountain biking, rock climbing, rope climbing and so much, much more. It provides a way for the students to build team working skills, get closer to their group, and build character.
This site is going to welcome a group of new students to these counselors. All the original Cliff Hangers have graduated leaving the counselors and staff of Mt. Horizon with new fresh faces, and problems to handle. We'll also be covering more groups then just the cliff hangers. So where will you get placed? And how will you deal with all your problems?
